With a strong focus on developing software trading and execution products for the equity markets and a focus on clearing software for the futures markets, Jack Earnest has been building companies based on Financial Technologies for over 33 years. He brings extensive operational experience in the US equity, futures, and power markets to his role as Portfolio Manager. He is the Founder and a Portfolio Manager at Velocity Merchant Energy. Previously, Jack served as CEO and Founder of Velocity Futures, an FCM specializing in high-frequency commodity institutional order routing. Jack also founded CSI.NET, a trading technology company pioneering early smart order routing technologies for equity firms. Before that, he was the CEO and Co-Founder of Momentum Securities, a software based US equities day trading firm that electronically transacted over 10% of Nasdaq’s daily volume. His career began at KPMG Peat Marwick. Jack holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
